The Home of Waluka
March 2015. Despite Waluka not speaking English in 2008, I somehow made him a foremen. He was in charge of the steelwork and concrete. We found a way of communicating without him speaking a single full sentence. He has now learned English and is still improving. We found him at his home and when he came out he had a letter I had sent him after I had returned back home. He also brought out his photo album which included pictures from those days.
To learn more about the photos, come and read the travel narrative A Makuwa, Chameleon, and Great Stories.
